I always read all these fantastic photographer bios but feel a little awkward writing my own. My names is Moises (Moe) Martinez, and I am a photographer living and breathing in Chicago for those interested currently in the Graceland neighborhood in a walk-up building with my beautiful girlfriend and her dog like cat. My professional life is mostly taken up as the head photographer for the Apartment People and sometimes other private clients, though lately I have been doing internet application development for the Apartment People at almost more than full time schedule.
If I had to describe my style of photography, I would say schizophrenic. Seriously I consider myself mainly a portrait and beauty photographer, but that is to say I also consider myself and enjoy architectural and urban landscape photography. If you have seen either of my works you would, I hope, come away with a sense of how much I enjoy doing either to its fullest. It’s a constant internal battle with me though, I can make some pseudo-anthropological statement here about how society has forced me to think that my portrait work is something that is “taboo”, but really that’s just a crock of shit.
